Sauvignon DOC Lafoa
Intense fruity notes to the nose reminiscent of elderflower, acacia flowers and sage bound by elegant hints of wood. A wine with tasty acidity and a long finish.
Aging potential: 6 – 10 years.
100% Sauvignon
The vineyards are located at an excellent exposure to the sun. It is a rather dry area with sandy and gravel soils of Moorish origin.
After a short maceration we move on to pressing perfectly ripe grapes. The must ferments half in steel for the rest in barriques. Only the latter part undergoes malolactic fermentation. Then there. 8 months of ripening on yeasts is done the assembly of the two wines and the careful bottling.
Alcohol: 13.5% Vol
Acidity: 6 g/l
Dry extract: 19.9 g/l
Remaining sugars: 2.5 g/l
