Nebbiolo Langhe DOC Perbacco
Vinification: this is a wonderful vintage for Perbacco. Winemaking of grapes from different vineyards such as: Bricco Boschis, Liste, Brunella, Crocetta, Permanno Fossati, Ravera di Novello and Scarrone (the part planted in 2003). The average age of the vines is 35 years and the plants per hectare are 4,500. All vineyards are wine-produced and aged separately. Alcohol fermentation lasts from 18 to 28 days at a temperature of 28 to 35 degrees. This is followed by malolactic fermentation in steel and barriques.
Aging: first part of aging in barriques for 10 months and then transfer in large barrels for another 16 months. Steel passage for a few months before bottling. The processing in the vineyard, winemaking and aging is the same as our Barolo, it is only a 3 year selection of wines/vineyards that have proven more elegance and more readiness for consumption, without a longer aging in the bottle as we do for our Barolo.
Description: fruity with hints of mint, spices and candy. Round and elegant tannins are added to a long and refined finish.
