Cultivation system: the grapes for this wine come from controlled biodynamic agriculture (Demeter certificate).
Description: very intense cherry red color. Fine, very fruity aroma (cherry, black currant) with elegant spicy notes and a delicate hint of wood (barrique) and roasting. On the palate the impact is intense and decisive, the fruitiness marked, compact and balanced. The long persistence is characterized by lively tannins and a fresh and pleasant acidity.
Aging potential: 8 - 10 years.
Pairing: with roasted or grilled beef, lamb, game, cheeses.
Origin: selected Magrè vineyards, altitude 230 - 250 m. Pebbly, sandy and calcareous soils. Warm microclimate with strong temperature variations between night and day.
Age of vines: ca. 14 -100 years old.
Harvest: 25th - 30th September 2009.
Vinification: maceration and fermentation of the grapes for 18 days in steel. After malolactic fermentation, aging in barriques (Alliers and Nevers, 1/3 of which new) for 18 months.
