Barbaresco DOCG Masseria
First vintage production: 1961 as Barbaresco Masseria. It was previously assembled with other vineyards of Nebbiolo da Barbaresco.
Vinification: from grapes from the single farm vineyard located in Neive. 1.4 hectares planted with vines of an average age of 40 years and cultivated with gouyot system. Limestone-clay soil with south exposure. The must remains for alcoholic fermentation for 18 days in steel tine open at a temperature of 30-32 degrees C. Daily "délestage", fungals and air replacements are performed. Malolactic fermentation in barriques.
Aging: malolactic fermentation in barriques and then ends aging in Slavonia oak barrels for a total of 28 months.
Description: Ruby color garish, with light shades of garish. Intense aromas of ripe cherries with complex notes of minerals, tea leaves and rose petals. Strict and mature tannins, fresh acidity and round and feminine structure. This Barbaresco demonstrates incredible finesse, an excellent incredible balance and long and persistent finish.
